Beach inspired twine wrapped trees

*This post may contain affiliate links

I decorate with a coastal theme in my home, but I especially love when I can bring the beach into my holiday decor and these little trees are perfect.

I decorate with a lot of twine and a lot of neutral colors and these trees blend in perfect just about anywhere, even when the holidays are over.

And the best part, they are cheap and easy!

What you need:

styrofoam cone
twine
hot glue gun and glue
starfish for the top  (or any other seashell)

Start at the bottom of your
cone, add a bit of hot glue to the edge and attach your twine.  Continue around the entire bottom edge of your cone making sure that the twine is securely attached at the bottom edge.

Then continue to work your way around the cone adding glue every inch or so to make sure the twine stays attached.

Once you get to the top of your cone, wrap your twine in a circle until it is completely filled in.  Cut off the excess and hot glue the end of the twine down in the middle of the circle.
